Padraig Fleming, Biomethane Programme Manager, Gas Networks Ireland

Padraig is currently working to increase the amount of renewable gas that GNI transports to start the transformation of the gas industry in Ireland to a sustainable energy business. He has previously worked for a number of energy companies including Ervia, Bord Gáis Energy, ESB, The Commission for the Regulation of Utilities.

Padraig has designed and implemented major developments such as the Single Electricity Market in Ireland and Northern Ireland including its communication strategy. He established a new water utility, Irish Water in Ervia group and has contributed to high profile strategic projects, such as the restructuring of a national energy utility and corporate planning.

He has developed large scale power projects, implemented competitions for the award of generation power purchase agreements, undertaken due diligence of preferred bidders and completed final negotiations and award of IPP contracts.
